Sexology

Sometimes it is believed that sexuality is summed up by physical or biological characteristics such as STIs/HIV, pregnancy, orgasm, erection, lubrication, sensations, etc. However, sexuality is a fundamental aspect of our existence; identity and sexual orientation, the relationship with perceived masculine or feminine roles (gender stereotypes), desire, eroticism, fantasies, intimacy, relationships, affection, etc. Our beliefs, needs, and deep values are transversal to all spheres of our lives, sexuality being no exception. Sexual health is inherently linked to physical, mental, social, emotional, and relational health.
